A day in Rangoon - Circular train

This was my second visit in Yangon in last three months and I planned to do more cultural activities in this time.

I found this Yangon circular train tour in Tripadvisor and It looked like a perfect activites for day. The circular train tour cost just 33 US dollar ( not in cluded tip) and everything such as Train ticket, one tea break, one fabulous meal and guide fee  was already included in this price. It was six hours trip and there was a joint tour with other traveller.  I booked this trip directly through the email so I just paid everything upfront to my tour guide at the day.

At 8.00 AM I arrived i to Asia Plaza hotel which was meeting point and I met the other tourists in the group. After briefing the itinerary of the day, we all had short walk
to Central railway train station for catching 9 AM train. Our tour guide organized to buy a train ticket which was around 200 Kyat for us.

A bit information about a train, the Yangon Circular train was built by British in 1954. The train has 39 stations and It covered a railway track loop of 29 Miles. This transportation service connects several towns and suburbs, also hundred tousand of people use this train for traveling daily.

The seat on the train was clean and train in general was well maintained. There was no AC on the train but it was not bad with window opened fully.  One thing I like about this train was watching vendors ply their trade on the train, and there were various types of products from refreshment to Medicine.
For the first stop, We hopped off at Da  Nyin Gone Station which was large vegetable and fruit market in the city. The products from all the country was sold here. The sellers in the market was so kind and friendly as there were offering the sample products to us every times we took a picture. People tried to explain the local name of fruit and I could see a smiley face everywhere. However, the floor of market was covered with banana leaves and trash so it was a little bit difficult to walk around without making mess.

After 45 minutes in the market, guide tour took us to a small local tea shop near Rail way for a small break. In my opinion the tea shop in this country was more like a pub where men came for socialize over there favorite drinks.

Our group got a small table and small stool in conner of tea house. It was nice to be under the shade after a long walk. I had my instant three in one hot tea while watching Indian movie from the TV at tea house.

We got back on the train again to final journey to  Pazun Tuang Station for traditional Burmese meal.

The view from the train was so nice, I was a lot of small plantation and farm along the train rail. People were still living in Bamboo house and had a basic way of urban life. It was good four hour train ride in overall.
